MY baby can READ!

As most of you know- Kaden is going to be 2 years old in May. But up until the last few months, he's been slow to really speak a lot of words. He has always understood VERY well what we tell him, however wasn't very interested in speaking the words he knew on his own. That all changed recently. He's started associating objects with their names and has been talking up a STORM! It's like a light bulb turned on in his head and now he speaks very well! We were so surprised and very pleased to see such progress so quickly!
Just this week, he's shown us a NEW trick we had no idea he was capable of! Since he was about 4 months old we had him watch these "Your Baby Can Read" Videos- they're supposed to help your baby learn sight words very young so that they can be ahead of the game later in life. Well, Kaden sure LOVED the videos from the beginning, but we never saw any real connection with them until this week! I posted this video to show you what he's been doing! He really is READING the words!!
Here's what we did in the video in case you can't tell: I turned on the video- then when a word appeared on the screen- I paused it before anyone on the video actually SPOKE the word- forcing Kaden to read it to know what the word was. Surprisingly- he knew SO MUCH! The word would appear on the screen- and then he'd either do the action it asked, or he'd actually say the word!! All before anyone even said it! He's also done the same thing when reading books- or even just writing down the word on a piece of paper- he's able to tell us/show us what the word is just by looking at it. We're so proud of him, his little brain is growing so much each day. ;-) Enjoy!
