I just wanted to brag about my adorable husband for a quick sec. He's just AMAZING.
After finding out about the triplets...he's been working so hard at figuring out his "schooling" situation. He currently is almost to his Associates Degree...and is still working towards that Bachelor's in business management! Since he's been working at Steven's Henager College for the past 2 years...he's been able to attend school for FREE there! All the classes are offered online-as well as in the classroom....so Austin had the freedom of choosing! He has been taking classes online and he's been able to take classes, maintain a FULL TIME job, AND be a wonderful Daddy and husband by still being home a lot....all at the same time. SUCH a huge and enormous blessing we've been given. And all this without the need of any student loans or anything. It's been amazing.
But...as the news of triplets came....school seemed to become a huge stresser. How are we gonna finish?? If we look at the timeline--he's not supposed to get his bachelors until.....about a year?? When is he gonna have the time to do homework and tests with 3 babies and a 2 1/2 year old at home?? What if Stevens Henager decides to suddenly stop offering this great benefit- then how would we pay for school? Austin can't get another raise at work unless he has a Bachelor's Degree....what if that doesn't come for a LONG time? How would we pay for the triplets?
All these worries started to enter our minds...I could really tell it was stressing Austin out--being that he's the main provider of the family. But! To my surprise...my sweet husband has figured out a way to make this all work out beautifully! I'm SO proud of him.
After talking to all the many professors at his school...crunching a few numbers....and doing a whole lot of scheduling.... Austin will be able to GRADUATE with his BACHELORS in Business Management in......JUNE!! THIS JUNE! WOW! What a blessing! That's well BEFORE the triplets are due...and it gives him an opportunity to possibly get a raise even in the works before the babies come. Austin's gonna have to work REALLY hard...he's basically taking triple the load of classes. But he has all his professors helping him get through it, and they're all on his team to help get him graduated...since they know about our most recent situation ;-) It's going to take a TON of hard work and focus for the next six months...but I KNOW Austin can do it. I'm SO proud of him and all he sacrifices for our family! I'm SO excited for him to be graduated by this summer and to have received his ENTIRE education......for FREE ;-) Way to go babe...I love you SO much.... and we're all extremely proud of you!

brag away! that is awesome! you are a lucky woman to have such a dedicated husband!
Austin has always been a hard worker and a good boy. Whenever Dad needed help in the yard or around the house, it was Austin he always asked because he never complained and was always willing to help and seem to enjoy the time with his dad. I never doubt anything that he sets out to do. He's definitely a "get the job done" kind of guy and figures out whatever he has to do it. Hats off to you bud!!!!! You're going to need it with all those babies!!!!
What a wonderful blessing! I'm so glad things are working out for you guys!
It's true that Austin is amazing. Nothing seems to phase him! Now this is your chance (Katie)to match him sacrifice for sacrifice - he's got his part to do, and you've got yours with this high risk pregnancy. If you both can support each other and be understanding of each other's particular stressors through these next few months, there won't be ANYTHING you two can't do! I'm so proud of you both.
I love that picture of the two of you! Austin is a great guy. You two are amazing together.
I showed my mom your blog the other day and she said "Oh, that little boy sure has his daddy's eyes, doesn't he?" He sure does!SO CUTE!
What a great family these babies are coming to. The Lord is definitely watching out for you guys! Glad all three babies are healthy
Austin... You THE man.
And may the force be with you :)
What a good guy you have! That's so great he can finish so soon and be done with school and move on to getting a raise :) Even though it will make for some stress the next few months, it's such a blessing for your family!
